Details: Sam will conduct a comprehensive overview of the state of the economy as it relates to the labor market, pricing/inflation and housing. He will also discuss the reasons for the decline in the labor force, the demographic transition and predictions for the future of labor availability.
Bio: Sam Wolkenhauer is the Idaho Department of Labor’s economist in Northern Idaho. In addition to providing regional stakeholders with economic data and analysis, he manages several forecasting projects for the State of Idaho, creating projections of the state’s demographics and employment. In his spare time, he enjoys studying Russian history and learning the Russian language.
