About the event

Speaker: Carly Snider, Nutritional Therapist

Details:

BIO:

Carly Snider is aNutritional Therapist, dog mom, dark chocolate loyalist, and lover of almost all things outdoors.

In HR terms, my profile reads: DISC: I-C, Myers Briggs: ENFJ, Enneagram: 8w7

If I’m not working with clients privately, educating a group, or helping build our family furniture business, then I’m usually at home blowing up the kitchen, cozied up with my red mini-Aussie while hyper-fixated on a research topic, or outside playing in the snow.

I love Jesus, sunshine, slowly drinking decaf lattes, getting lost in a book or outside, saving gallbladders, making pretty food, geeking out on personality profiles, a good Bristol #4, vision casting and making people laugh!

I dislike soggy vegetables, getting stuck driving slow in the fast lane, socks with thick seams, fake people, a fixed or victim mindset, hangnails or sitting for too long.

My Nutritional Therapy Story:

I grew up as high performance (aka “high anxiety”) student and athlete with crazy blood sugar swings, gut issues and migraines. Always on the go, we ate primarily processed foods and lots and lots of sugar. All the while I suffered silently with unknown food sensitivities and more stress than I could outrun- all of which I thought was totally “normal” part of being a human.

Watching my grandparents age, I dreaded getting “old” because that meant you were always in pain and had to take a bunch of medicine and insulin shots to feel "happy or healthy".

At age 14, I got curious and started reading and gaining an understanding of the human body.

Using the coping mechanism I had developed early on (stress eating), I scarfed my way through Gonzaga University stress, one bag of Life Saver Gummies at a time.

Then bribed my way through Design school, one batch of cookies at a time.

Caffeinated my way through corporate management and business ownership success and failures, one vanilla latte at a time.

All the while plagued by chronic overthinking and overcommitting, later to realize I subconsciously adopted the motto “perform now, cry later”.

Then in 2014, it all came crashing down and I really had to look at the root cause of my health issues.

Got figure, I found my answers in the brain and gut connection.

Fast forward now, after a lot of healing and learning and applying - I get to serve as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who uses hard earned experience and deep compassion to Educate, Empower and Equip.

It’s a privilege to work with hard working folks, mostly women to help them to know themselves better, identify and address their needs and take back the control of their well-being.

I love what I do and who I get to work beside. The stories bring tears to my eyes and I wouldn’t trade the relationships built for anything.

You might say, I am a North Idaho based Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner on a crusade to save gallbladders, share pretty food, create empowered eaters and spread positivity - one bite a time.

I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can and exploring opportunities for collaboration! You and your people are worth it.
