Who is HRNNI?
The Human Resource Network of North Idaho is a local non-profit organization for Human Resource professionals in North Idaho. Members are invited to participate in monthly membership meetings during which a speaker presents on various topics for HR professionals. We are a networking group of human resource and management professionals who enjoy discussing and sharing best practices in HR.
We meet on the third Wednesday of each month with the exception of July and August. Check in begins at 11:15 am. Lunch and Networking begins at 11:30. Our speaker begins at 12:00 pm and ends at 1:00 pm.

Dana Garrison, PHR/SHRM-SCP
President
Dana has been an HRNNI member for many years and recently joined the board in her current role. As a Human Resources professional working within the Northern Mills of Idaho Forest Group, she brings over 25 years of expertise in employee relations, recruiting, benefits and compensation administration, employment law, training, and employee development.
Dana is a volunteer with the UGM Center for Women and Children as a Vocational Advancement Business Partner.
In her free time, Dana can be found golfing at one of our local golf courses, spending time with her husband Par and fur baby Bogey, or riding one of her cruiser bikes downtown.
Amy Hagerty, PHR/SHRM-CP
Vice President
Amy Hagerty, PHR, SHRM-CP is the SVP/Human Resource Manager for Mountain West Bank which currently has 400 employees throughout Washington and Idaho. Amy’s passion is employee engagement and she believes in creating a positive work culture. Let’s have fun at work!! Mountain West bank has been named a “Top 10 Best Places to Work in Idaho” for the past 5 years. She has over 23 years of experience in Human Resources, 18 of which are in the banking industry. Amy grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Mansfield University of PA with a BS in Psychology and Human Resources. After graduation, she moved to Upstate New York to begin her career in HR. In 2012, she moved to beautiful North Idaho.
Amy has been a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management) since 2000 and has been actively involved in SHRM Chapter boards since 2001. Amy is the Business Advisory Council Lead for Project SEARCH for the past 4 years, an international organization that helps young adults with disabilities find meaningful employment. Since joining Project SEARCH in 2017, Amy has been successful in increasing Intern placement through her connections in the HR Community. Mountain West Bank has had the pleasure of hiring 2 Project SEARCH Interns!
In her free time, Amy enjoys volunteering in the community, being active outdoors; gardening, travelling and beekeeping. She also loves baking for her employees (and everyone else) as well as spoiling her black lab Gus!
Jenny George, SPHR
Treasurer
Jenny George, SPHR, is a 19 year HR veteran with a deep professional background that includes accounting, finance, real estate portfolio management and corporate relationship management. She is the Director of Human Resources at Ednetics in Post Falls. Jenny enjoys serving the employees of Ednetics through wellness education, benefit management and resource guidance. Her professional vision is to empower employees to be the best version of themselves.
Kelsey Moen, SHRM-CP
Social Media Director
Kelsey is the Vice President of Operations for Advanced Benefits. She is a licensed Health and Life Insurance Agent, Certified COBRA Administrator, and holds her Consumer-Directed Health Care Certification.

She currently serves on the Leadership- Coeur d'Alene- CDA Chamber of Commerce Committee, on the board of CDA2030, and is a member of Kootenai County Young Professionals and Lady d'Alene's. Kelsey is a graduate of Leadership Coeur d'Alene Class of 2016 and Advanced Leadership of Coeur d'Alene Class of 2018.
When she isn't at work or attending community events, you will find her acting as a professional taxi driver for all things football/basketball/any other kid-related activities.

Kelsey's passion is helping others and keeping this community as amazing for her kids as it was for her growing up.

Jane Salmons, SHRM-CP
Membership Director
Jane is an HR professional with over 15 years’ experience working directly in HR management and an additional 5 years partnering with HR departments as a business analyst and training developer. She has worked for ALLWEST Testing and Engineering since 2018 as their HR Manager, and prior to that spent 11 years with an electrical engineering firm in Cd’A holding various HR roles. Her interests lie in the areas of emotional intelligence, productive communication, and coaching as a means to help employees develop a self-reflective mind-set.
A native of Spokane, Jane spent her college years in east Texas, then lived and worked in Seattle, and eventually made her way back home to the Inland Northwest. She has lived in the Coeur d’Alene area for the last 16 years with her husband, daughter, and fur-kid, Mia the Bernedoodle . In her leisure time in the colder months you’ll find her geeking-out on home improvement and baking shows, attempting DIY projects, reading a good mystery, and dreaming of summer! And in the summer she likes nothing better than spending the day boating with family and friends on Lake Cd’A.
Heather Andrews
Secretary
Heather was born and raised in Coeur d'Alene. She loves spending time outside, especially in the sun. Some of her favorite hobbies are camping, hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. In the winters, she likes to go sledding and enjoy movies curled up in a blanket. Her absolute favorite thing to do is spend time with her fiance and two little girls.
Kerri Straw, MBA, PHR/SHRM-CP

Kerri Straw, Vice President of Human Resource Services for OmniaHR, which works closely with Managers and HR personnel on benefits administration and HR compliance. Kerri has over 25 years in the medical field and over 20 of those are related to insurance. During that time, she has worked for doctor's offices, hospitals, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
Kerri currently holds a Master’s in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, a Bachelor's in Business, Human Resource Management, Life and Disability License with the State of Idaho, is SHRM-CP and PHR certified, and holds multiple certificates and licenses.
Kerri has lived in Idaho for over 25-years and enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. On beautiful days, you will find Kerri on the back of her Harley-Davidson actively seeing the local region.
Katie Hunt, SHRM-CP
Past President
Katie is a community ambassador who is passionate about helping community organizations and businesses reach the next level in their success. Customer-focused professional with over 20 years of customer service experience and 12 years of Human Resources (HR) and benefits administration experience. Katie has a bachelor's degree in business with human resources emphasis.
Katie works as a Human Resource Consultant with OmniaHR providing new employee orientation, benefits administration, HR planning processes, and supporting companies in their HR needs.
Katie has been fortunate to be a part of a community with an incredible heart. She found her calling to help people and businesses connect. She excels at relationships and serves as a community ambassador including Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce Board member, Human Resources Network of North Idaho President, Kootenai County Police and Fire Memorial Foundation Director, Coeur d'Alene Rotary - Noon Club, and is the Founder of The Lady d’Alene’s.
Katie has her Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Certificate Program and is an Idaho state-licensed life and disability producer.
While she is not working or serving this incredible community, you’ll find her on the sidelines of some sort of sports activity. She is blessed with two active daughters who play sports year-round. For that reason, most weeknights or weekends are spent traveling to watch them play softball, soccer, basketball, or running in cross country and track.
