About the event
Topic: Mental Health Awareness within the Workforce
Speaker Bio: Lisa Bunker is a native to the Pacific Northwest, born and raised in the Seattle area. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon in Eugene. She then moved to New York in the early 90’s to attend graduate school in Applied Psychology at NYU. She & her husband have three boys, who were born in NYC & raised on Long Island. During this time, Lisa has worked in several inpatient behavioral health settings – but notes her most influential job was working with a very marginalized population - a NY parole reentry program, helping rehabilitate & successfully reintegrate a co-occurring population back into society.
Lisa returned with her family, to her Northwest roots – relocating to the Coeur d’Alene area in 2012. She joined the Behavioral Health team at Kootenai Health and is currently the Clinical Manager on the Chemical Dependency Unit. She has also worked as a therapist on the Youth Acute psychiatric unit & is in private practice in her ‘extra time’.
